PREDICTIONS 2024

Let’s change our expectations for 2024 Predictions! Instead of offering what will happen in the coming year, I feel it is more important to look at the underlying planetary energies that give rise to situations and events that we will experience. There are no spin doctors in Astrology. The planets are in the heavens, located in a particular sign, and forming aspects (relationships) with other planets. This affects your personal chart, the chart of countries, and the chart of each day. For long-range planning we look at Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto. For daily and short term influences we consider the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, and Mars. Predictions are based on the relationships, harmonious or inharmonious, between these planets and their signs. 

Plunging into 2024 we have many sextile aspects. This is a harmonious aspect. It means possibilities and opportunities for planetary energies working together. A sextile offers opportunities for growth, new solutions, and bright ideas. The connection between the following planets will be activated in 2024: Jupiter sextile Saturn; Saturn sextile Uranus; Uranus sextile Neptune; Neptune sextile Pluto.

Will this mean an unending stream of good news, peace, economic prosperity, and easy climate events? No. It means we have the ability and energy to choose and work towards changes in values and priorities that will bring about solutions.  

Jupiter sextile Saturn can bring opportunities for both individuals and corporations for fair leveling between the extremely wealthy and the middle classes.

Saturn sextile Uranus gives us the opportunity to put the brakes on short term ideas that may not result in long term solutions.

Uranus sextile Neptune encourages significant progress in health care, especially governing mental health issues and drug abuse.

And lastly, Neptune sextile Pluto offers the opportunity for keen awareness of distorted thinking, cults, and power dynamics of governments, leaders, and individuals that lure people into an illusory sense of freedom when in truth they are being mind-controlled.

The #1 planetary event for 2024 is the Solar eclipse on April 8 at 19 degrees of Aries. It is being called the Great American Eclipse as its path covers a sweep of the US. If you go to https://www.greatamericaneclipse.com you will see a map of the US with the eclipse path of the previous 2023 eclipse and the upcoming one in 2024. Looks like Texas will be juiced with eclipse energy! The eclipse paths will energize (for good or ill?) many of the issues which divide the country. Some have suggested that 2024 will bring a secession of certain states from the United States. I do not predict this will happen. The agitation level will be high during and after the eclipse but with our own choices we have the opportunity to work cooperatively for a stronger result. The wise father in Aesop’s fable teaches us all:

“Having bound a bundle of sticks together he asks his sons to break them. When they fail, he undoes the bundle and easily breaks each stick individually. In this way, he teaches them, though each can be overcome alone, they are invincible combined.”

The second important planetary influence for 2024 and beyond is Pluto leaving the earth sign, Capricorn, and entering the air sign, Aquarius. 

Pluto will move to Aquarius on January 22, 2024, and remain there until September 1, 2024. Then he retrogrades back into Capricorn, and on November 20, Pluto moves again into Aquarius where he remains for the next 20 years.

Big shift. Aquarius favors unique and surprising solutions to societal and global problems. There will be a new era of technology that will be more egalitarian, economical and which serves rather than controls humanity. Artificial Intelligence is here to stay and may in addition to its efficiency help us differentiate between what is human and feeling knowledge, as opposed to mindless disconnected pieces of information. Additionally, strengthening an intuitive approach to problem solving will lead to the fearless exploration of new ideas. I do predict that Astrology will become more recognized and useful for aiding daily life, health concerns, and financial cycles.

The motion of all the planets moves the earth and societies where they need to go in order to survive and thrive. Pluto in Aquarius and all the sextile aspects for this year present new and unique possibilities that we haven’t experienced. The last time Pluto was in Aquarius was during the French Revolution: radical changes for all people. Not a peaceful time but the outcome gave freedom to all classes of people and gave more opportunities for sharing wealth.

“We must believe in free will; we have no choice.” 

My postscript is: having free will allows us to surf the planetary waves and choose the best for our human development.
